Noah: "I'll help you tie it Mom." 1st time he showed me he could tie a simple knot.

Chuck E Cheese Birthday party and neighborhood Fun Fall Fest!

1st Dentist Visit!

Successful! The office was fun and very kid-friendly. Noah did great, got his teeth polished, flossed, dose of fluoride, and even was still for x-rays. The Dentist and I discussed thumb sucking cessation strategies. On the way home Noah said he had fun and was excited about all the things he got in the little take home bag.

Noah likes to jump on his mini trampoline, play tennis, ride his tricycle when we go on walks.

"Best friend"

Noah is blossoming in the pre-school room and completely potty trained now during the day. He is into being empathetic and says "I'm sorry for _____." He also identifies and decides who his best friends are. He has said that Mom, Dad, Oliver, Niko are his best friends from day to day. At this moment his best friend is Aubrielle, next door. She's 5 but they talk and play so well together. As she was leaving in the car with her Mom, the windows were rolled down and she yelled, "Bye Noah!" and Noah said bye back then said "She's my best friend," all happy and proud. It was so great! =)

Noah has come to love the swing at roughly 3 1/2 years old. Keep practicing your forward, back Noah!

We are currently working on Noah falling asleep in his own bed by himself, without us laying with him. Each night he says, "But you can lay with me for a libble lit (that's how he pronounces a little bit)." It's sooo cute!

"Can you help me tie this?"

Noah said today - his first voiced interest at learning how to tie a shoe lace!

"hey Mom"

Noah started calling me Mom (instead of Mommy)this past week. He won most observant at this year's Berger awards. He starting to perfect his "S" followed by consonant words like "school, skateboard, stand, etc." He continues to speak in clear direct thoughts, majority of the time speaking in compete sentences, but still needs some assistance with grammar right now like when he says, "Where is him? and Where is them?" it's cute.=)

"I need more quinoa," said Noah tonight at dinner.

Swim Lessons

Summer 2010 - 3 years old - started swim lessons through day care - every day for 1 hour in the afternoons - you are enjoying it!

Potty Training

Noah's progress: February 2010 - interested in going to the potty and went poo poo and pee pee on your Elmo seat. yay! When Isaac born, lost interest. Now Summer of 2010 (3 yrs and 2 months old) excited about wearing pull-ups like other friends in your class and doing well! Often diapers are dry in the morning and you are now standing and peeing in the potty. Right now it's 50/50 on poo poo in the potty verses in the pull up. You seem to be in a good place about potty training. Your teacher Ms. Shana helps out too. (you pooped on the couch the other day *sigh* it leaked out of your diaper) When you have a dirty diaper, you walk funny and ask us right away to change you. We will continue to be patient with you. =)

Today Noah was looking at my skin and said "You have dots on your leg and on your head." Matt & I laughed. It was the first time he noticed I had freckles. haha!

"Mmmm...It's tasty!"

Noah said as he licked his orange push up. (new word being "tasty")

Hallettsville 2010

Noah, this was your 3rd time at the Hallettsville reunion. The first was when you were 6 weeks old, the second 2 years old, and the this time, you are now 3 years old. You had a lot of fun in the swimming pool, kicking your legs with help of the kick board, shooting the water gun "Shoot!", and watching the big kids jump off the diving board-you even jumped off the side of the pool into Mommy's arms, yay! You are starting swim lessons at your school Monday, June 7th. You loved the horse, car, and dinosaur cookies Grandma made you and playing ball with Sara, Corbin, and Aunt Liz. You were in awe when you saw all kinds of huge interesting bugs like giant grasshoppers, june bugs, spiders, a dead frog, and a centipede. You enjoyed a Popsicle for the first time (I know b/c you tried to grab it the wrong way), and were amazed seeing stuffed dear heads on the wall for the first time, and also a big grandfather clock. When you saw it your eyes lit up wide, you pointed to it and said, "Mommy, Hickory Dickory Doc!" It was the cutest, and I had to sing the song. =)

Noah's 3rd Birthday Party!

We threw a birthday party for Noah turning 3 years old on Saturday May 30th at 5pm. It was a great time and a big success. Noah is an amazing, sweet natured, smart, and vocabulary-articulate toddler. Way to go Noah! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

Chop Stix!

Went out to dinner with Grandma and Uncle Dan to Mama Fu's. You got a kids chicken and noodle meal and used chop sticks for the very first time and did awesome! You ate your whole meal using them, enjoying steamed broccoli, shrimp, rice noodles, and terriaki chicken. Such a great time and memory, and we enjoyed watching you get excited saying, "I did it!" every time you picked food up with them. You are so talented Noah! =)

A new issue to tackle...

This morning Noah got out of his bed and walked over to Mommy and Daddy's room at 6:15am and said "I wanna lay down with you."

Noah put his velcro shoes on by himself for the first time today. =)

A growing vocabulary

Recent new words Noah has said and used in a sentence! Delicious and impossible.

"I want more broccoli,"

Noah said at dinner last night. Music to a mother's ears.

new words everyday..how he is growing so much and getting smarter by the minute! new words using them correctly in a sentence: "the snowman in melting," "I'm going to type," and "Mommy it's sour and chewy" (describing his gummy vitamin). He loves playing basketball and running outside, jumping, plying with bubbles, and now doing puzzles! Mid February Noah went poo poo in the potty for the first time and goes pee pee in the potty too. He loves his new big-kid class at school and playing on the big-kid playground. He is cute kissing Isaac on the head.

2 years, 8 months old

Noah can walk up and down the stairs holding the rail by himself.

And the whiney age begins

Oh, how it does hurt Mom and Dad's ears.
